Old Town Scottsdale is the historic corner of downtown that has a fun and funky Old West Flair. There are many pedestrian friendly walkways along the neighborhoods, which allow you to walk or ride your bike to many of the great amenities. A free trolley system can also be utilized to help you get to many of the eclectic shops, fine art galleries, Western Wear boutiques and award winning restaurants. There is an active night life, thanks to the numerous bars and nightclubs.
Old Town Scottsdale real estate has stayed popular even during the market down because of its close proximity to many amenities, and the area is currently seeing a revival with new condos and hotel developments. It is served by the Scottsdale Unified School District and students attend Kiva Elementary School, Mohave Middle School and Saguaro High School.
Old Town borders the Scottsdale Arts District, which is an area with most of the art galleries. The 1.1 million square-foot Scottsdale Waterfront is walking distance with many retailers and restaurants and features pedestrian-only areas. Also nearby is Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, which is one of the 20 largest malls in the US, and contains more than 225 stores and restaurants. Only minutes away is the Scottsdale Civic Center, which includes Scottsdale Stadium, the San Francisco Giants’ Spring Training location.
