Some of the most expensive real estate in Arizona can be found in Paradise Valley, where median home prices range in multi million dollars with some homes exceeding $30 million. The small town is only 16-square miles, but the exclusive area boasts stunning homes and mansions. The goal of the community was to keep the area primarily residential and zoned for single-family residential use, with a minimum of one house per acre. Multiple housing units are not permitted and the smaller residential lots that are under one acre, were “grandfathered” in. The result of the zoning rules are sprawling estates with lush lawns, large open spaces and a rural ambiance.
Paradise Valley is known to be overflowing with luxury and is one of the valley’s premier tourist destinations, with many world-renowned resorts and hotels, such as Camelback Inn, The Phoenician, Sanctuary Resort and Spa, and JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort and Spa. These resorts have top-rated spas and restaurants, as well as beautifully maintained golf courses that have magnificent views of Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain and the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. These mountains border the town and have great trails for hiking and rock climbing. Both the Biltmore Fashion Park, with its luxury outdoor retail & dining plaza, and Scottsdale Fashion Square, one of the 20 largest malls in the U.S., are nearby to offer high end retail therapy.
The Paradise Valley community is part of Scottsdale Unified School District and is served by both Saguaro and Chaparral High School. There are also several exclusive private schools in the area, such as Phoenix Country Day School. Both the 51 and 101 freeways are easily accessible and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarters are all 15 to 20 minutes away.
